Reach for the Magic is designed to support travel advisors at every stage of their journey, whether you’re just getting started or bringing experience with you. Here’s a transparent look at what to expect when you join our constellation of kind-hearted travel pros.
Step-by-Step: Starting Your Journey
1. Submit the First Questionnaire
Start by completing our initial interest form—a chance to share your story, professional background, and personal accomplishments. We want to know who you are, not just what you’ve done.

2. We Review with Intention
We read every response carefully. If it feels like a potential match, you’ll be invited to complete a second, more in-depth questionnaire focused on your travel knowledge and destination familiarity.

3. Dive Deeper with Destinations
The second step helps us understand your strengths, specialties, and passion areas—so we can better envision how you might fit into our community of advisors.

4. Let’s Connect (Interview Time!)
If both questionnaires align with what we’re looking for, we’ll reach out to schedule a Zoom interview. This is a collaborative conversation—designed to make sure we’re a mutual fit in values, expectations, and vibe.

5. Acceptance & Next Steps
Once accepted, you’ll be officially invited to enroll in The Academy, our self-paced onboarding program. From there, the real magic begins.

6. Welcome Aboard: The Official Beginning
After successfully completing The Academy, we’ll review your progress and overall alignment to determine if we’re ready to officially extend an Independent Contractor Agreement. Once that’s in place, you’ll begin onboarding into the agency itself—getting access to our systems, community, support tools, and all the resources you need to confidently launch (or relaunch!) your advisor journey with us. This is where you step fully into the Reach for the Magic family and we couldn’t be more excited to have you!
Investment
What does it cost?
There is a non-refundable fee of $299 to join the agency's training & onboarding program (The Academy) where we will provide training to get you started. Inside the training you'll learn the core framework basics regarding sales, marketing, operating & managing your business, and more. You will be required to complete various exercises and practice quotes as part of the program.
Please understand an investment is made for both parties when bringing a new Travel Advisor onboard. It is expected that The Academy training program will be completed within THREE months (90 days) of signing your training agreement. If you cannot commit to doing so, please consider applying at another time. If you do not complete the onboarding program within the 90 days as outlined, an Independent Contractor/Travel Advisor Agreement may not be extended to you. In addition to a financial commitment, there is also a time investment involved. You must dedicate several hours per week to complete the program. Upon completion of the training, the agency will determine if you will be offered an independent contractor agreement (not guaranteed).

An annual tech & business fee is charged to our travel advisors that includes: professionally branded email, CRM, travel advisor page on the agency website, agency E&O insurance, and more. The annual tech & business fee for the first year is higher due to the investment of time and features offered (1-on-1 time with the owner, set up of travel advisor within systems and suppliers, templates, etc).

Examples of expenses you may incur as part of operating your business: home office equipment, phone line, business cards, marketing materials, office supplies, internet, required state licensing, postage, etc.
