Frequently Asked (and Lovingly Answered) Questions
Do I need prior experience as a travel advisor to apply?
Not at all. Many of our most successful advisors started with passion but no professional background in travel. What we do look for is curiosity, commitment, and kindness. If you're ready to learn and serve with heart, we're ready to guide you.

Can I do this part-time?
Yes! Many of our advisors start part-time, balancing this with caregiving, other careers, or creative pursuits. That said, this isn’t a passive income opportunity. Building a travel business takes intention and consistency, even at 10–15 hours a week. Ultimately, you grow at a pace that works for you.

What makes Reach for the Magic Destinations different from other agencies?
We lead with values—not quotas. We believe in kindness over competition, mentorship over micromanagement, and systems that support your life, not run it. This is a place where you can be fully yourself—and be celebrated for it.
What kind of support will I receive?
-
Access to The Academy, our self-paced training program
-
Ongoing mentorship + group check-ins
-
A full Advisor Portal of tools, templates, and scripts
-
A vibrant team culture with real people who show up for each other
No ghosting. No guessing. Just grounded, heart-forward guidance.

I’m not tech-savvy. Will I be able to keep up?
Yes. Our systems are designed to be accessible and intuitive, and you're never left to figure things out alone. We’ll guide you step-by-step, and we’re always here to answer questions or talk through a roadblock.

Are there fees involved in joining?
Yes—and we’re transparent about them:
-
$299 one-time training fee (non-refundable, includes The Academy)
-
Annual tech/insurance fee to cover your CRM, branded email, and professional coverage
We’ll walk through this in more detail during the application process. We believe in keeping costs clear and reasonable.

Can I join if I live outside the U.S.?
Currently, we are only able to contract with advisors residing in the United States, excluding California and Hawaii (due to seller-of-travel laws). We hope to expand this in the future!
Bonus Questions (Because You Might Be Wondering...)
Can I work in my pajamas?
Absolutely. Pajamas, yoga pants, galaxy-print leggings—whatever helps you feel comfy and confident at your laptop. Just maybe throw on a nice top for Zoom. 😉

How much coffee (or tea) is too much?
We don’t believe in “too much”—as long as you stay hydrated and occasionally stretch. Our unofficial beverage of choice? Whatever fuels your focus and joy.

Is it okay if I’m a little weird, a little woo, or a little introverted?
Yes, yes, and YES. Bring your full self. We’re a constellation for a reason—everyone shines in their own way here. ✨

Do I need to have traveled the whole world?
Nope. You don’t need a passport stamp collection to be a great advisor. We care more about your heart for service than your personal vacation resume.

Will I get random happy mail or shout-outs just for being awesome?
Oh yes. Recognition and celebration are baked into our culture. Whether it’s a milestone, a first booking, or just showing up for someone else...we see you. And we love to cheer.

What if I don’t know all the answers yet?
Perfect. You’re in the right place. Growth is kind of our whole thing.
